Lazy Creations

So....my weekend did not turn out like I had planned.......

I was so geeked up about some great seats to see U2.  I use a line from one of my favorite U2 songs on my hearts paintings a lot.

Then in a sleepy haze and in the dark, I got cozy with a door facing and concrete floor.......OUCH... It seemed irresponsible to go sit in a stadium with 50,000 people in 100 degree heat with a concussion. 

me.....sad.......

So......I missed the concert and substituted a Law and Order marathon.  Ironically, someone took a blow to the head in every episode!
I laid down with an ice pack for a couple of days and read some sewing books.  Nerdfest was in full swing!   Yesterday I went into the studio to do some lazy work.  Painting not being lazy work- I worked on some fabric flowers using some fabric from one of my favorite designers, Amy Butler.  Pulled out some burlap, stencils and a lamp.  Here is my lazy day creation!
